Room Visualizer AI lets you refine your design with two options:
Tweak: For small, precise changes (like updating a color, adding or removing an item, or shifting furniture)
Transform: For bigger, overall style or layout changes (uses a different AI model and follows different rules)

This guide is all about getting the best results when you use the Tweak option.
If you’re making a big change or want to transform the whole room’s style, check out our Transform guide instead.
How to Write Great Tweak Instructions
The Tweak option is designed for quick, specific edits, not for redesigning the whole room.
Instead of describing your whole room, you’re giving precise editing instructions to an AI that already understands your space. This means you should focus on specific changes you want to make, rather than asking for a complete redesign.
To get the most accurate result, give the AI a clear and simple instruction for what you want changed. Here’s how:
1. Use Clear, Direct Action Words
The AI understands editing commands best when you use action verbs like:
Change (for color or material updates):
“Change the wall color to light grey.”Add (to place new items):
“Add a tall plant next to the TV unit.”Remove (to take something out):
“Remove the desk from the corner.”Replace/Swap (for item upgrades):
“Replace the dining chairs with black modern ones.”Move/Shift (to reposition):
“Move the armchair closer to the window.”
2. Be Specific. Name the Item and the Change
Describe the exact object or area:
“Change the navy sofa (on the right) to a neutral beige.”
“Remove the hanging light above the island.”Add details if there’s more than one similar object:
“Change the rug under the coffee table to a patterned design.”
3. One to Two Edits at a Time = Best Results
For tweaks, it’s much better to make one to two changes per instruction.
If you want to tweak several things, just do multiple refinements, this keeps each edit accurate and gives you more control.
Refinement 1: “Change the wall color to white and add a black floor lamp next to the armchair.”
Refinement 2: “Remove the artwork above the sofa and add a cushion on the sofa”
4. Troubleshooting Your Tweaks
If the wrong item changes: Add more details or location.
“Change the large wooden table near the window to black.”If the result isn’t what you expected: Try simplifying or breaking your edit into even smaller steps.
Quick Templates for Tweaks
“Change the [object/area] to [new description].”
“Add a [new item] near [location].”
“Remove the [object] from the [location].”
“Move the [object] to [new position].”
“Replace the [object] with [new description], keep everything else the same.”
What Tweak Can and Can’t Do
✅ Perfect for: Color swaps, material changes, adding/removing furniture or decor, simple repositioning
❌ Not for: Big layout changes, or fully redecorating the room (use Transform for these!)
Remember:
The more specific and step-by-step your Tweak instruction, the more accurate your result!
