My design looks blotchy or patchy after a few refinements. How do I fix it?
A one-message fix for mottled, patchy or grainy surfaces that can build up after several rounds of refining.

After several rounds of refining in the chat, some parts of your design can start to look blotchy, patchy or grainy. You'll usually notice it first on plain, light walls and ceilings. Sometimes it shows up as fine stripes, a bit like corduroy. Patterned things like rugs and bedding can also get busier and messier with each round.
We know about this and we're working on a fix. Until it's in, you can clean it up yourself with one message in the chat.

The fix: one clean-up message that names what's in the room
Once you're happy with your design, send a message like this in the chat, swapping in the things you can see in your room:
Clean up the mottling on the walls, ceiling, floor, rug, bed, bedding, bedside tables, lamps and artwork.
The list is what makes it work. A general request like "clean up the image" doesn't do much. Naming each thing does. Anything you leave off the list usually stays as it was.
Clean-up messages are refinements, so they don't use any credits.
Tips for a clean result
Do it last. Clean up once you've finished making design changes. The patchiness builds up gradually, so more refinements afterwards can bring it back. If you do keep refining, just send the clean-up message again at the end.
Make the list match your room. Look at your design and name what's actually there. Start with the surfaces (walls, ceiling, floor), then the big pieces (sofa, bed, rug, table), then the smaller things (lamps, cushions, artwork, plants). Your spelling doesn't need to be perfect.
Leave out anything that's meant to look textured. Marble, limewash, plaster finishes, terrazzo and similar surfaces can get smoothed out by a clean-up. Either leave them off the list, or add something like "keep the texture of the marble benchtop".
A long list is fine here. Normally we suggest asking for one or two changes per message. A clean-up is the exception, because you're not changing the design, just tidying the image.
