August 2026 Update: A completely rebuilt Refine Mode + Shopping & New UI

It's been a quiet few months on updates as we've worked hard to rebuild refinements from the ground up.
It's the part of the app you gave us the most feedback on, and now it does something I've wanted it to do since the day we launched.
This is the biggest update we've shipped since launch. Here's what's new.
✂️ New: Refine Mode
Tweak and Transform are retired. In their place is Refine Mode, which works as a chat.
You point at anything in your design and say what you want changed. Tap the rug and change it to something else, or tap a chair to swap it out. Everything else stays the same.

Because it's a conversation, you can keep going. It remembers what you've already asked for, so you're not describing your whole room again on the fifth change.
You can also scroll back through the chat, pick up any earlier version, and take it in a completely different direction from there.
This lets you:
Change one thing without redesigning the whole room
Keep refining in one thread until it feels right
Return to any earlier version and try something different
Compare versions side by side before you commit
There's a new engine running all of it too. Removals and moves used to be the least reliable things you could ask for, and they're much better now.
One thing has moved. Your design analysis used to sit below the generated image, and it now has its own tab next to the chat.
⚡ A simpler way to start a design
We've also cleaned up the generation form.
Nothing has been taken away. Most of the options now sit under Specific Requests and Advanced Options, so it becomes much easier to use.

One thing to know: every generation now needs a style direction, either an inspiration image or a StyleLens™ profile. It used to be optional, and it turned out to be the main reason some designs came back looking generic.
🛍️ Shopping Tab
We've also added the Interiors Black Book, a directory of over 500 handpicked brands and stores.

When you've settled on a design, the next question is always where to actually buy any of it, and that's the part nobody helps with. You can filter by what you're after and bookmark the ones you like.
We're continuing to improve the app, and your feedback shapes what we build next.
You can share ideas or vote on features on our public roadmap.
Happy designing,
Reynard & the Room Visualizer™ Team
