Panoramic Photo Support

Feature Request

If users could upload panoramic photos of their space, it will help greatly give the AI much more accurate content to work with in designing and refining the space. This hold especially true for small spaces where the camera angle can’t capture all the points of entry or windows on both adjacent walls.

Multi-Photo alternative

Alternatively, allowing a user to share multiple photos with different angles could be used to help create the comprehension of the space and the AI can choose one or two of those photos to render to give a better representation of the space.

Case for Panoramic Support

I suggest the panoramic approach to the photo taking so keep the flow of the room easier for the AI to process and you can even have the UI of the app use the native panoramic photo support to collect.

Future Feature with Advancement of AI (home designer app differentiator)

Future feature opportunity for the app can to create interactive panoramic results as AI continues to evolve. (think Google Maps “Street View” for one’s room)

    I definitely agree with this!

    I'd submitted a similar suggestion in email feedback in relation to the question about what would make the tool a real "win". Quoting from that email:

    “The biggest "win", which might not be possible in the short to medium term, would be Room Visualizer AI 3D: the ability to redesign an entire room by uploading photos from all angles (or a whole-room scan) as input for a design instance, and then move around the output to see it from any viewpoint, check movement/pathways around the room, etc.

    “An intermediate but still helpful (and quite possibly still unfeasible) advancement would be the ability to move the "camera" anywhere on the plane of the theoretical "room's back wall" from which the output is shown. For example, there were quite a few times when trying kitchen redesign when the output was shown at an oblique angle that hid the left wall that I particularly needed to see, despite my original photo being front on and my instructions always including "show the left wall". If I'd been able to move the "camera" to get a fresh render of the same design from a different viewpoint the problem would have been solved; instead, I had to try to tweak my refinement instructions which often resulted in unwanted changes, and sometimes still an oblique angle in the output.”

      Excellent, yes, the suggestion for different angles and ultimately 3D is what I’d love to see. I could be content with the single interactive panoramic view for the smaller rooms. Long-Term Premium Feature: Combining panoramic views together to allow a user to essentially create a walkthrough from room to room (similar to real estate walkthroughs), but reimagined with a blend of current decor and suggested decor.

      Multi-Photo/Angle Implementation via “Room Project”

      If panoramic is out of reach, and multi-angle photos are needed, one approach that to consider is having UI group these sessions into a “room project” so once you’re satisfied with one of the suggested designs from one angle, other photos of the room can be provided to get a different orientation with the same suggested furniture & decor reused (AI prompts and imagery retained in that same ‘project’). I can see an implementation where the UI could instruct a user to take a photo from opposite corner to help meet the immediate gaps in the design.
